Staff
members at CHRISTUS Spohn Rehabilitation Services
have multiple education opportunities throughout the year. This
past fiscal year alone, we allocated $20,000 to continuing education,
providing nine courses for continuing education unit credit.
Courses
are taught by national experts as well as by our own staff members
in their areas of expertise. Past course topics have included osteoporosis,
spinal stabilization, traumatic brain injuries, and wound care dressings
and agents. Future course topics may include vestibular rehabilitation,
wound care and traumatic brain injuries.
Our
goal is to provide top-quality education that serves our staff,
improves our knowledge base and helps us give our clients excellent
care.
Though
courses are intended for our staff, at times we also open them up
to outside therapists for a given registration fee.
